Job description
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams.
The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up.
You will support our software developers, data specialists and data scientists on data initiatives and will redesign our data architecture and pipelines to ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing and next generation projects.
Responsibilities

Build data systems and pipelines

Maintain, improve, and automate our Data Warehouse

Build the infrastructure required for optimal ETL of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technologies

Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, quality and availability

Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling

Combine raw information from various sources

Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability

Identify opportunities for data acquisition

Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects

Collaborate with QA team and developers to monitor data quality and volume automatically

Integrate processed data to be ready for further processing in other systems (BI tools, APIs, reports)
Must Have (required skills)
-
Previous experience in the role: Senior Data Engineer
-
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
-
Large experience with Data pipelines stack; Airflow/AWS Kinesis is a plus

Large experience with Python and SQL
-
Large experience with Relational Database (PostgreSQL)

Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift

Great numerical and analytical skills

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field; a master's is a plus

Intermediate English or higher – capable to communicate with users, stakeholders, project manager and developers
Nice to have

Experience with Real Estate data

Experience with Data Quality and Data Catalogs

Experience with Geographical data processing (PostGIS)
