Your responsibilities

The main responsibility of this role is to manage the Cloud infrastructure of IIB (mainly, but not limited to, AWS platform). Implementing best practices as infrastructure as code and defining processes accordingly.

  • Planning, design, management, maintenance, document and support of cloud infrastructure

  • Drive automation of tasks and implementing of infrastructure services

    • Implementing daily routines in an automated manner

    • Supporting developers in the CI/CD process

  • Identify and rectify potential risks within the infrastructure, network or security

  • Research, setup, testing and implementation of technologies and solutions to improve performance, reliability, availability, security and efficiency of infrastructure on AWS.

  • Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis and working closely with the developers to implement corrective/preventive actions during and after an incident.

Your requirements

  • Expert level on cloud-focused DevOps experience.

  • Knowledge of: AWS Terraform/Ansible, Kubernetes, Rancher, Python, NodeJS, GitLab

  • Strong AWS knowledge of most popular services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, EKS)

    • Nice to have: Serverless services (Step Functions/Lambda Functions)

  • Solid understanding and experience with containers and a container orchestration

  • Comfortable creating and managing enterprise-grade Kubernetes clusters

  • Solid experience in Terraform as Infrastructure as Code

  • Experienced in a 24x7x365 uptime Amazon AWS environment leveraging git repositories and CI/CD tools like Gitlab CI.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.

    • Post-mortem management

  • Experience implementing industry standards security policies (i.e., Well-Architected Framework, OWASP)

  • Basic programming skills (to be able to communicate with developers). Ideally Python language.

  • Experience with monitoring/Alerting/instrumentation tools (i.e., Prometheus, Alert-manager, Grafana)

  • Practical experience with log aggregation tools (I.e.: ELK, DataDog)
